Scope
Caprine Compass is a software service owned and operated by Vaught Family Farm, LLC, an Indiana limited liability company. This policy applies to paid Caprine Compass subscriptions purchased directly through the regular Caprine Compass website and processed by Stripe. If a future distribution channel offers its own authorized purchase method, that channel's applicable billing, cancellation, and refund rules may also apply to purchases made through it.
Automatic renewal
Monthly and annual website subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled. The price and billing frequency are shown before checkout. Promotional pricing applies only for the period stated in the offer; later renewals are charged at the regular subscription price shown at the time of purchase unless a different price is communicated and accepted as required by applicable law.
How to cancel
For a subscription purchased directly through the Caprine Compass website, the family Owner may cancel at any time by signing in on the regular website and opening Settings → Plans & Billing → Open Stripe billing portal, then following the cancellation steps in Stripe's hosted customer portal.
Some app-store-distributed versions may be consumption-only and therefore may not show the website billing portal inside that distributed version. That does not prevent cancellation of a website-purchased subscription; use the regular Caprine Compass website or contact billing support if you cannot access the cancellation control.
Unless otherwise stated in the cancellation flow, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You will not be charged for a later renewal after the cancellation becomes effective, and paid access generally remains available through the end of the already-paid period.
Refund requests
You may request a refund within 7 calendar days after an initial paid subscription charge or an automatic renewal charge. When a timely request is approved, the refund is limited to the applicable subscription charge.
After the 7-day request period, subscription charges are generally non-refundable and unused time is not prorated simply because a subscription is canceled. This does not limit any refund, cancellation, or consumer right that applicable law requires.
Duplicate, unauthorized, or erroneous charges
If you believe you were charged more than once for the same subscription, charged after an effective cancellation, charged an incorrect amount, or charged without authorization, contact us promptly. We will investigate and correct confirmed billing errors. A verified duplicate, unauthorized, or clearly erroneous charge may be refunded even when the normal 7-day request period has passed, subject to applicable law, payment-network rules, and Stripe's processing requirements.
Trials and promotional offers
A Caprine Compass trial does not itself create a Stripe subscription charge unless the website checkout flow clearly states otherwise. If you choose to begin a paid website subscription while a trial is still active, paid billing may begin immediately as shown in the checkout flow.
Promotional discounts apply only as described in the specific offer. For example, a first-billing-period discount does not permanently reduce the regular renewal price.
How refunds are issued
Approved refunds for website purchases are returned through Stripe to the original payment method when possible. The time for a refund to appear depends on Stripe, the payment network, and your bank or card issuer.
Requesting billing help or a refund
Signed-in users may use the in-app Feedback page for billing questions or refund requests. You may also contact billing@caprinecompass.com.
For faster review, include the account email, family/herd name, approximate charge date, amount, and a brief description of the issue. Do not send complete card numbers or security codes.
Changes to this policy
Vaught Family Farm, LLC may update this policy as the service, pricing, distribution channels, payment providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy is published. Changes will not reduce rights that already apply to a completed transaction where prohibited by law.
